About Us

In 1995 Rose George had the occasion to go to Uganda with an organization where she struck up a friendship with a pastor from a fishing village called Kiyindi nestling at the base of a group of hills and right on the edge of Lake Victoria.
On her return to the UK, she kept in touch with him by letter.
She went to Bible college for a year and met her husband-to-be, Gerry George
Gerry says- “In 1997 we were married and raised funds which we gave to the pastor on a wedding celebration trip to Uganda.
This was the beginning of a great friendship with Pastor Dan and 3 years later we began the work which continues up to this day.
The poverty and the immense needs of the people so overwhelmed us so much that we decided to do what we could to help by creating fundraising events to provide financial aid and assistance primarily for orphans, needy children, and Widows.
In the year 2000, we became a registered charity working out of the UK. Advance International Ministries (AIM)
Since the year 2000, we have created a complex of buildings and seen the lives of the whole community transformed.
What was once a village is now growing into a town and indeed town status has been applied for by the local councillors because of what we have achieved there.
